IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT ART PICK UP!!!
Because of the nature of how we store the art projects all together in the class, we have decided that going through the art work at the start of next year would be the best plan of action. We will NOT be handing out this years work until after we return. All art work will be returned to you at the start of next year regardless of what class you are in or which time of the year you have art. Again, art will NOT be handed back UNTIL we return next school year. Thank you!

No work unless you are missing any assignments. Please check Infinite Campus and make sure all assignments marked missing get completed and emailed to me as soon as possible. ALL WORK IS DUE BY FRIDAY AT NOON! I hope you all have a wonderful and healthy summer! Reminder, when we return to school, we will pass back all work from this year. Final Reflection Project
-Look at the pictures of all of the projects you have done this year (pictures of examples of projects at top of this page)
-draw and color a picture combining all of the projects (look at the example at the top of this page)
-include your name
-include your grade level
-use pencil, colored pencil, marker, crayon, whatever you would like
-fill the entire paper
-it should be very detailed and demonstrate what you have learned this year in art
-due Friday

-Marker Styrofoam Stamp Print (small square of styrofoam you drew into then colored with marker and pressed onto a piece of paper)
-Texture Monoprint (you scratched objects onto the ink spread on the table)
-Drawn Monoprint (fruit or vegetable traced onto the ink spread on the table)
-Newspaper Silhouettes (the fall or spooky large styrofoam stamp on worded paper and brown paper)
-Autobiograpical Silhouettes (the sponge person with the tiny personal styrofoam stamps you made with the "marshmallow handles" all about you)
-Fruit and Vegetable Quilt with styrofoam square design stamp
-Aboriginal Animal Dreamings (animal broken up into little areas of colorful shapes)
-Gyotaku Fish Prints (prints made by fisherman to record fish caught)
-Stencil Prints (last weeks assignment)

Today's assignment is to build three different paper airplanes (youtube videos are available for construction of different types) and test to see how far they fly. Which went the farthest? Take a picture of your three paper airplanes and tell me which went the farthest. Did it surprise you at all? Again, this will be emailed with a picture and a sentence or two telling me your results.

Object Color Wheel Brainstorming
-look at the color wheel pictures made of household objects (links for pictures are located at the top of this page)
-begin brainstorming ideas for creating your own object color wheel and start collecting items
-your color wheel can be random items or it can have a theme like the sewing string one above.
-have fun thinking of creative ideas (you can look online for ideas as well)
-we will put it together next week and finish up and submit a picture then. for now just think of an idea and begin collecting.
